CODA:
A Time For Choosing
Throughout this book I have been trying to shine the spotlight on the massive fraud that is being played on the American people by the ruling class. By using their control over the news media, the popular culture and academe, these elites have created a Matrix of unreality that is in stark contrast to the world as it actually is. Just about everything that you read or see in the Matrix is a distortion of the truth meant to form a conventional wisdom whose purpose is to keep you ignorant and content while the Crooks and Thieves continue to steal the American Dream from this and future generations .
I hope by now it has become painfully apparent that the truth is often the opposite of what is being spun as reality inside the Matrix. Those who are portrayed as the ones most concerned with the plight of their fellow Americans are more often than not the cause of their distress. The reality is that rather than being the champions of the poor, the Crooks and Thieves have created a massive vote buying machine that keeps them in power, but infantilizes those in poverty with the narcotic of dependence. Instead of being the nurturers of our children, the Democrats would rather appease their union allies than change and improve a failing educational system. When it comes to entitlements, promises have been made to Americans that cannot be kept because these programs never anything more than glorified Ponzi schemes whose purpose was to purchase elections. Despite all their pious platitudes that they are the ones that are helping Granny and the poor, those on the left are actually the ones pushing her and the rest of the nation off the fiscal cliff into bankruptcy.
Those who run the Matrix would like you to believe that Democrats are the party of the little guy against evil corporations and wealthy one percenters, but the truth is just the opposite. Virtually every major new program they have passed in the last four years favors large corporations over small businesses. Obamacare, Dodd/Frank, Carbon Caps and the incessant harping about raising taxes on those who make more than 250k are all policies that favor large politically connected organizations at the expense of small businesses and individuals trying to realize their dreams. While progressives claim to want only to tax the "rich", their profligate spending has forced the Federal Reserve to print money like there is no tomorrow. Every time you fill your tank with gasoline or load your grocery basket with food, you are paying a massive inflation tax for the Democrats unwillingness to control their appetite for bigger government and more vote buying scams. Inflation is the most regressive tax there is and it hits the working class and the poor the hardest.
Speaking of the high price of gasoline and electricity, the reality is that we are artificially paying much more for these essential items in our lives than we need to. Why? Because those in the Matrix have done their utmost to try to convince you that the earth has a fever and that only if we listen to President Obama and his allies and surrender our money and our freedom can we slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet. Of course, these doom mongers and alarmists conveniently leave out the fact that the science on this is far from settled and, despite their model's predictions to the contrary, temperatures have not risen for the past fifteen years. Indeed, the earth may not even be sick at all.
Whether man is causing global warming or not, the policy of making everyone poorer by hastily transitioning to technologies that are not capable of replacing fossil fuels at an affordable price is economic suicide. Despite the left's constant demands that we cede our national sovereignty to global governance, nothing that they propose is ever going to change the fact that there are billions of people who share our planet that seek to break the chains of poverty and enjoy the same luxuries that we enjoy here in America. They will not accept a solution that prices energy at a level that will keep them poor forever. Therefore, the only sensible way to solve the problem is to discover the next generation of cheap abundant energy that can replace fossil fuels. To do that requires the exactly the opposite of the policy of the sharing of an artificial scarcity that the left proposes in order to achieve their dream of a one world utopia. It requires the creation of the wealth necessary to fund a project of that magnitude. Anyone who tells you differently is either a liar or lives in a fantasyland.
It isn't just misguided and ideologically motivated policies that are hurting our country. It is the endemic corruption. For far too long, by practicing cronyism, corporate welfare and just plain old fashioned vote buying, those who feed on the government, be they politicians, corporations, unions, lawyers, lobbyists, NGO’s (Non Governmental Agencies), Academics and all of the other pigs who line up at the trough have perfected the rackets that keep their money machines going. Despite the fact that these corrupt schemes are bankrupting the nation, those in the ruling class resist change at all costs. Why alter anything when these Crooks and Thieves will continue to make out like bandits as long they can fool the public into letting them keep their scams going?
It would be one thing if this system actually worked. At least in Fascist Italy, it was said that Benito Mussolini made the trains run on time. But, things aren’t running on time anymore in America are they? The national train is broken. The truth is that doing even the most basic number crunching will lead you to the inescapable conclusion that the “blue” model of governance supported by the left does not work. It is failing those to whom they claim to be trying to help and making us all poorer in the process. More importantly, it is a completely unsustainable way of governing. That is not just my opinion. It is the frightening reality we must face.
From where we as a country are presently, the “blue” model leads next to Illinois. Shortly thereafter it will arrive in California. Next stop will be Italy. After that it’s just a short hop to Spain and from there to our final destination: Greece. Once again, I repeat… This isn’t my opinion. It is just basic mathematics.
2=====================================================================================================
Therefore, we have come to a time of choosing. You can choose to take the blue pill and stay within the Matrix. There, the media will happily spin you the illusion that everything is fine and dandy in Obama-land. Plenty of shiny objects will appear to distract you from the approaching fiscal cliff. Hey, look over here… There is Barack Obama looking cool on David Letterman! Wait! Look over here... See some Kate Middleton topless photos! No, look over here! Mitt Romney put his dog on the roof of his car! Come here! Look! Free Contraceptives for everyone! Next year free Viagra too!
You can choose to stay in the Matrix and deny the evidence that the higher our taxes rise to pay for the scams of the Crooks and Thieves and the more regulations we put on the creators of wealth, the less likely the economy will flourish and the worse unemployment will get. You can choose to ignore that money, like water, flows in the path of least resistance and, thus, be oblivious of that loud sucking sound of all our jobs and capital going to places where wealth and businesses are treated more favorably. You can choose to pretend that this isn’t occurring as you read this, but it is happening whether you want to recognize it or not.
You can choose to take the blue pill and hope that just one more stimulus will do the trick to get our economy on track and create jobs for the millions of unemployed. You can choose to believe this despite the failure of three Obama stimulus packages and three quantitative easings by the Federal Reserve. You can choose to ignore Japan's lost decade of failed Keynesian economics and pray that if we just hire more government workers and send more money down the infrastructure rat hole that the country can defy the historical failure of these policies to ever work as advertised. You can hope that this time they'll get it right because Barack Obama is the smartest man ever to be President, but given his dismal performance so far doesn't that just look like a lot of wishful thinking?
You can choose stay in the Matrix and trust that the Crooks and Thieves will somehow stop our ship of state before it goes over the fiscal cliff. You can daydream that President Obama really means it when he says he’ll do something about the deficit this time despite blowing through Five Trillion bucks in deficits in just four years. You can choose to believe that Harry Reid and his Democrat Senate will actually show some courage for a change and pass a budget for the first time in 1200+ days. But, if past performance is any indication of future returns, that hope is a mirage. You might wish that a political party that has maintained itself in power through a vote buying entitlement state racket can rise above their greed and lust for power long enough to do something in the national interest, but one look at the cowardice of politicians in Illinois, California, France, Italy, Spain and Greece should be enough to convince you that this will never happen.
Yes, you can take the blue pill and live a life of amusement, contentment and distractions for a few more years until the excrement finally hits the fan.
Or….
3=====================================================================================================
You can choose the red pill…
You can choose to rise above the fictitious memes that conservatives are mean spirited, racist, homophobic, sexist Nazis who are too dumb to have an original idea or coherent thought and realize that they have a legitimate point of view and the same positive hopes and dreams for their fellow human beings as everyone else.
You can choose to face the hard cold reality that the world is unfair and it will always be that way. You can realize that no government can ever create a utopia of equal outcomes. Therefore, the purpose of government should be geared towards giving everyone an equal opportunity to achieve their God given potential.
You can choose to look at the evidence of the fifty year failure of the Democrat vote buying machine to solve the problem of poverty in America. You can recognize that the programs we have in place are actually making the situation worse by destroying the family unit which is the glue that holds society together. You can open your eyes and see that our union dominated schools are failing all of our children, particularly the poorest who need an education the most. Therefore, to prevent yet another generation from being lost to the Social Services/Prison Industrial Complex, the country needs to reevaluate its welfare programs and the way it educates its children. The status quo leads to a dead end for everyone except the politicians and their allies. It cannot continue in this way.
You can choose to rip the thin veil of unreality that the media spins to hide the fact that a new elite of Crooks and Thieves are trying to create a world in which they are the masters and the rest of us exist to do their bidding. You can recognize that crony capitalism is just the newest form of socialism and that the ruling class is artificially rigging the game in their favor at the expense of individual citizens and small business. Therefore, policies that promote smaller less intrusive government, the creation of capital and that reward individual achievement are essential if we are going break from the shackles that the ruling class is putting around our necks.
You can choose to do some addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and realize that the entitlement state is unsustainable. You can recognize that we are going to very quickly have to make some very clear headed and painful decisions about how to reform these programs in order to prevent the country from going bankrupt. The time for using this issue for partisan gain is over. We must all sit down and come to the table with honest proposals that actually solve the problem or this country that we all love so much is doomed.
You can choose to study the evidence that shows that nowhere on earth does the “blue” model of the left work to create the kind of wealth and prosperity necessary to keep the American Dream alive. You can recognize that the “red” model of Texas, Indiana and Wisconsin based on low taxes, low regulation, and sensible fiscal policy is the only path we can follow if we don’t want to end up like the unsustainable failures that are Illinois, California, Spain and Greece.
You can choose to take the red pill and open your eyes to what has always made America special. In this land, where our rights are endowed to us by our Creator, the promotion of liberty and freedom should always be our paramount objective. As long as we safeguard our rights and make sure that government’s primary purpose is to defend them, we will keep faith with the vision of our Founders. Where liberty and freedom are held in the highest esteem, that is where peace and prosperity will take root and flourish.
4=====================================================================================================
In the end, it is your choice. Take the blue pill and continue with more of the same tired old unsustainable games of the Crooks and Thieves who run the Matrix and got us into this mess.
Or...
Take the red pill and open your eyes to reality as it is and, thus, to a chance to meet the challenges we face with our eyes wide open
